Presenters

Stephen Shibley is the owner of Fertile Ground, LLC, working within both public and private sector environments as a labyrinth builder.  “My life journey has led me to explore the labyrinth as an inclusive expression, with its varied form and function, of the uniquely circuitous path to discovering one’s center, or creative core.  I design and build labyrinths that inspire transformation and harmony in our communities through reflection, play, celebration, and discovery.”  Stephen Shibley is a licensed landscape architect and landscape contractor living and working in Estacada, Oregon.

Randall Stuart is the founder and director of Cerimon House, a humanities and cultural arts organization in the heart of the Alberta Arts District of Portland, Oregon.  Randall is a teacher, director, writer, and producer in the world of classical theatre, an oft-requested keynote speaker on matters of creativity, and a lifelong student of literature, philosophy, and thanatology.  One of the signature community programs for Cerimon House is The Creative Path Walks, an indoor labyrinth activity featuring a 33 foot square adaptation of the Reims, France pattern, and utilizing three dimensional additions and varying monthly themes.

Traci Mc. Merritt leads the Laughing Labyrinth Peace Project, combining laughter yoga with labyrinth walking.  It is a playful meditation that inspires interaction, connection, and joy.  She recently published her first book, Laughing Labyrinth Timepeace, Empower Your Reason For Being By Following Your Bliss (available at Portland’s New Renaissance Bookstore and TimePeaceBliss.com).  She aspires to build laughing labyrinths on campuses world-wide as places for inspiring Peace within and throughout communities.  Traci also works as a landscape architect with the US Forest Service and lives in Corvallis, Oregon.

Sandra Walden has been conducting Ceremony for the past six years recently integrating labyrinths for weddings, grief counseling, mother blessing and facilitating heart conversations. Sandra was trained as a lay minister with the Unity Church since late 1990's and with The Living Enrichment Center for several years focusing on the practices and teachings of the Worlds Religions.  She completed required training and courses with Lauren Artress becoming a Veriditas Trained Labyrinth Facilitator in March of 2017 after attending trainings and workshops with The Labyrinth Society (TLS) for the past three years.  She recently retired from a long career in Telecommunications and now focuses primarily on travel and Ceremony.
